Have you ever bought your friend a goat? Or maybe you have performed eye surgery for a member of the family? No? Well, here is your chance to make this a more common occurence.

World Vision's Smiles Gift Catalogue, is a list of items desperately needed in some of the world's poorest communities.
The idea is: instead of buying a present for a friend or family member, you donate a Smiles Gift on their behalf.
You get a neat greeting card with a picture of the item you chose which you can write to and give to them.

Emma Crowe designed the winning 'Stirred SMILES' Postcard (above)
"My postcard reflects that gifts from the Smiles Catalogue have a lasting effect on the recipients, rather than the fashionable items that people receive each year that invariably get superseded the next year." - Emma Crowe, Art4Aid Smiles Postcard Design Winner 2007
Look out for her design in a cafe near you and remember to buy a goat, beehive or any other item in the Smiles Gift Catalogue this Christmas to support those less fortunate.

The winning designer (Emma) will be distributed Australia wide though Avant Card and published in Desktop Magazine. She will also receive a bunch of postcards to proudly distribute to friends.
We'll might even turn our favourites into Stir E-cards.
