Your local MP can help you stir things up in Canberra. Visit them!

Get a petition going for the Australian Government to increase our assistance to Sub-Saharan African countries that are some of the worst affected by HIV/AIDS in the world.

Present your petition to your local Federal Government representative (perhaps just before 1 December). Ask them to be your voice in Canberra and pass your petition on to the Minister for Foreign Affairs - The Hon Alexander Downer MP.

This Stirmail article has a great guide on how to approach your local MP

Sponsor or Rescue a child

If you're thinking about sponsoring a child one day, sponsor a child affected by HIV/AIDS.

If you are a student, help children orphaned by HIV/AIDS in Zambia now by supporting Child Rescue for as little as $15 a month. Come on! That's like only half a CD!
